Looks like Ron Howard’s daughter is a pretty smart lady.

If you recall, Bryce Dallas Howard replaced Rachelle Lefevre in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse due to “scheduling conflicts.”

And in a recent interview, Bryce opens up about the decision and how she felt replacing Lefevre.

When asked what advice she’d give to other actors playing a role which was previously played by someone else, Howard reveals:

Well see. The jury is still out, because Rachelle [Lefevre] really created an incredible character and is exquisite.

I fell like the uproar that occurred was really appropriate, because part of the joy of seeing a franchise, its almost like a television series. Youve seen the actors grow with the franchise. And [Lefevres] unavailability [to do "Eclipse"] was really, really, really unfortunate.

Advice? Gosh. Just to do your best and be ber-respectful. She won that role for a reason. I hope to honor everything that she created.

That was an ber-good response.

And when asked if she’ll be playing Victoria again in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Howard responds:

I dont want to give anything away, but “Victoria has a life span. Thats all I can say about that.

(HMG) – Rumor has it that Kate Hudson’s revolving door of men, Owen Wilson, Dax Shepard and Lance Armstong, among the recent, has turned out another man likely running for his life. Baseball season is over and there was no where to hide for New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez, and so he has broken up with Kate, a source confirms to Usmagazine.com. I don’t mean to be so hard on Kate, as we don’t know for sure who broke up with whom, and given the ’source’ hasn’t been identified, it sounds like an unsubstantiated claim so far. But the giant ball of crazy, has a reputation as clingy and smothering, who eventually scares her man away. Whether she did this time or not who knows, but as we reported last month there was a rumor that Kate was begging Rodriguez to skip town and elope and it immediately made me think this relationship was just about done. We originally connected Kate and Alex being together around the beginning of January so they almost made it one year.

Susan Boyle can do anything- even bring ratings to a network whose sole purpose is just to tell you what’s on!

On Sunday, The TV Guide Network premiered I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story. The special was HUGE, becoming the #1 top rated special in the network’s HISTORY!

The program OVER-DELIVERED in all of the network’s key demographics and you can be sure, they’re going to be showing this thing on loop for the next week!

Mel Gibson’s latest directorial effort is an as-of-now untitled period drama set in the time of Vikings!

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in the film and is said to have been interested in Viking culture for years.

Gibson is producing alongside Graham King and shooting is expected to commence in Fall 2010. King says of the collaboration:

“This will be an awe-inspiring story, created with some of the industrys finest cinematic talent and I am just over the moon to be making this film with Mel, Leo and Bill [screenwriter William Monahan].

While we may not be Mel’s biggest fan anymore, Leo never fails to impress us so we think this has some real potential.

The two love birds have been spotted wandering the streets of Nashville.

Taylor Squared just left the Pancake Pantry in Nashville’s Hillsboro Village a while ago causing the Twitter world to go in a frenzy over the sighting.

TMZ reports that Courtney Love has lost legal control of her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Guardianship has been turned over to Wendy O’Connor, Kurt Cobain’s mom, and Kimberly Cobain, his sister. This ruling was given on Friday and Courtney wasn’t present in the courtroom.

According to court documents, the two guardians will not have control of the trust fund that was established for her after Kurt’s death.

The guardianship was established after a fairly long period of unstable conduct by Courtney Love. The court proceedings, however, are sealed.

I know Courtney is known for her erratic behavior but I wonder what prompted this action? Especially since Frances is nearly an adult. Is anyone surprised that this didn’t happen years ago?
