Ryan Philippe and Abbie Cornish

Apparently things aren’t going too well between actor Ryan Philippe and his girlfriend for 3 years Abbie Cornish, especially since she came back from Vancouver where she spent quite a long amount of time shooting some movie of which we don’t even know the name.. They’ve been arguing ever since she came back. Do we smell the end of this item?

pants_ground[1](HMG) – If you haven’t come across at least a reference to ‘Pants on the Ground’ in the last 24 hours then chances are you have been living under a rock.

Seasons First American Idol Internet Sensation Pants On The Ground

The song, created by a 63-year-old “General” Larry Platt.

Platt, who marched as a heavy advocate in the Civil Rights Movement, is a common face at local city council meetings in Atlanta, Georgia, where he protests against the foreclosures that have hit poor neighborhoods in the city.

When he came in it was obvious that he was much older than the age restriction put in place. But he didn’t want to go through; he wanted to give a message.

“Pants on the ground. Pants on the ground. Lookin like a fool with your pants on the ground,” the man, who says he is a four-star-general for Civil Rights, sang for the four judges, which included Mary J. Blige.

“With the gold in your mouth. Hat turned sideways. Pants hit the ground
Call yourself a cool cat, lookin like a fool.”

The song had the judges dying with laughter, and by the time he happily threw himself down in a rather impressive attempt at splits for a man his age he was a legend.

Simon commented that he had a “horrible feeling that the song would be a hit.” He was right.

But Platt didn’t do it for fame. He did it to try to get the kids in his neighborhood to buy a belt.

“It’s not the way it’s supposed to be, kids walking around here with their pants all hanging down, calling themselves ‘gangster’ and everything. I don’t like it.”

Kelis was recently verbally attacked by PETA having received a personalized letter about the singer wearing fur.

Well she wasn’t having any of that and she wrote a letter back to PETA via her MySpace blog.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On wearing fur:

Btw its not just the look of fur. Its warm as hell and feels glorious, ever rubbed faux fur on your body? Nothing luxurious about that. Then the letter proceeded to name artist and designers who don’t wear real fur. Great! More for me! I don’t judge them, don’t judge me.

“If I started wearing endangered animals like polar bear or orangutan then talk to me. (Which btw for the record I would not – I do believe in the preservation of endangered species) But the minks and chinchilla that quite honestly are rodents and if weren’t in the form of a coat I would demand they be put to death anyway are not an issue to me.”

On eating meat:

“There is no humane way to kill anything, let me start there. Its unfortunate but its part of life. With that being said, I would eat pterodactyl if you found some and you told me it was meaty and delicious…I eat meat, and in fact my mouth salivates as I type the word meat!

On how PETA should find a more “worthwhile cause”:

“If u want to preach do it about something worthwhile don’t waste my time trying to save the dang chipmunk. Find a worthwhile cause like the women being maimed in these Middle Eastern countries. Or female circumcision. Or women’s rights here in America, we still get paid less for doing the same jobs as men.

“Quite honestly if you hate the world so much go live in the forest where no one else has to hear you complain about the perfectly good food chain the good Lord created. Everyone has the right to an opinion, and that’s mine on that! xoxo”

Some folks like to get away, like Rene Zellweger and Bradley Cooper.

Though they are still attempting to keep their lurve hush-hush, that hasn’t stopped them from forging ahead in their relationship. This past weekend, the couple went to Philadelphia for a relaxing weekend with Bradley’s folks

Their mini-vacation included some workout time and dinner with M. Night Shyamalan and his wife, Bhavna Vaswani.

How nice! Things seem to be still going smoothly – for now!

It’s been a while, Kiki.

Last night, the ever so lovely Kirsten Dunst was spotted out and about in Los Angeles.

Drunkst stopped by an art show on Melrose Ave with her male friend, but she wasn’t too happy to be spotted by the paparazzi.

And in usual Drunkst style, she kept trying to hide her face from the cameras.

But really, it should be her beau who’s hiding his face.

We’d be embarrassed to be seen with her too. And that’s not saying much.

Jessica Simpson Talks About 'Price Of Beauty'

Jessica Simpson’s new documentary ‘The Price of Beauty’ is set to premiere on Monday, March 15th on VH1. Jessica traveled all over – to Japan, Thailand, France, Brazil, Uganda, Morocco and India. She was in search of “every-day women” and to find what true beauty really is.

Jessica spoke at a press conference today about the experience and how it changed her:

“I think going all around the world and seeing all of these incredibly courageous women, it inspired us to find the best within ourselves,” Jessica said “I feel like I walk around with so much more pride in who I am as a woman and I got to do it with my best friends. We got to discover what life really is and what life means.”

It has definitely given her more confidence:

As far as outwardly, I definitely carry myself differently after experiencing this. There is something unique about myself that I am proud of. Any man that I find, they are going to be darn lucky.”

She also shared her thoughts on plastic surgery:

“I am not against reconstructive surgery if it is for a woman to have more confidence,” she says. “If that is truly the reason, I would support it.”

It really sounds like it made a huge impact on her outlook on the world and herself. I’m looking forward to checking this series out!
