(HMG) – Avril Lavigne who filed for divorce from rocker husband Deryck Whibley last October, a month after they separated has since been weakly romantically linked with actor Wilmer Valderrama and oil heir Brandon Davis. But according to E! News, the Complicated singer has been enjoying a down-low romance with reality TV star Brody Jenner for several weeks. Jenner the 26-year-old player split in December from Playmate Jayde Nicole.

Despite trying to keep their romance out of the public eye, Avril and Brody were recently seen enjoying dinner at Los Angeles restaurant Koi before heading to nearby nightspot Voyeur, where onlookers couldn’t help but notice their flirty behavior.

The E!News source says, “They’re hooking up. but they’re keeping it low-key. You can tell they’re into each other and both like to have a good time. They’re cute together.”

She does pretty much whatever she wants!

Whitney Houston canceled her only concert in New Zealand this year after a reported dispute between her tour promoters Andrew McManus Presents and the execs at the TSB Bowl in Taranaki.

Whitney will now perform an extra show in Melbourne, Australia on March 6 instead.

Ticketholders for the Taranaki show can contact Ticketmaster for refunds.

It’s true, according to a survey by the Nation Telecommunications & Information Administration.

The survey concluded that the majority of the people within this one third were either poor, seniors, and/or minorities and the reason for not having Internet ranged from not really needing it to the $$$ factor.

We can’t imagine our lives without the Internet! Can U?

The producers of the Oscars broadcast are trying to shake things up this year. Yesterday at a nominee’s luncheon, organizers shared some of the changes with the crowd.

First, they want nominees to write TWO speeches. They are trying to do away with those “thank you to everyone” type speeches where the winner thanks their agents and makeup artists and obscure cousins twice removed. In an attempt to keep things fresh and interesting, they want the winners to give a speech about what winning the award means to them. When they get backstage, they will be recorded giving the “second” speech thanking their managers, etc. The second speech will be posted on the web and the winners can use them how they wish – Facebook, website, email, etc.

Second, there will be NO musical performances of nominees for Best Original Song. Instead, they will be featured throughout the broadcast in video clips with their respective movies.

Will you miss those thank you speeches? Would you rather hear about what it means to them to win? What about cutting out performances of the songs? Will either of the changes get you to watch the awards? Or will they make you decide not to watch?

Paul Wesley is slowly creeping up on my list of favorite Hollywood hunks. At first, I thought his look was almost too chiseled. But the more I watch his show and the more I see candid pictures of him… well, let’s just say David Beckham might have a little competition.:)
