“Simon loves Mezghan, it’s as simple as that. He’s an incredibly instinctive person and this is just right. When he turned 50 in October, he was forced to evaluate things and really think about what he wanted from life. Mezghan has been by his side for months now, she cared for him the other week when he was so sick he was forced to miss Britain’s Got Talent auditions. This is something that Simon isn’t telling many people, but they are engaged. Mezghan is a great girl and extremely down to earth.”

I would have never thought that the former beast of American Idol would settle down with anyone.

(HMG) – I have always said Scottish actor Gerard Butler seems to be a man happy to play the field. He has been recently romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston for a while and a recent trip to Mexico with the Friends star for her 41st birthday seemed to confirm they were an item. Which could be true I suppose, but Gerard seems to have several coals in the fire.

Gerard yesterday was seen hanging out with sexy Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger (photos here) on a beach in Rio, where they are both currently celebrating the annual Carnival. He certainly didn’t seem to want the publicity. As soon as the 300 actor spotted photographers descending in on them as they were taking a stroll on Copacabana beach, he marched on ahead of Nicole, trying to pretend they weren’t together.

Oh and on the Gerard and Jen supposed romance, OK! Magazine, claims Aniston flew the film crew down with her to capture the pictures of them together. Just weeks before the release of their new film The Bounty Hunter, Jen wanted to capitalize on rumors of a fling with Butler and made sure every bikini shot was showing off her best angle, the magazine reported.

How romantic!

Rihanna’s Dodger boyfriend Matt Kemp is making big plans for the singer’s 22nd birthday on Saturday!

Her 21st last year was supposed to be a huge carnival-themed party, but with the horrible Chris Beat-Her-Down situation putting a damper on things it ended up being canceled and she opted for a quiet night with friends.

But Matt is making the day extra special for Rihanna this year!

“(Matt) really wanted to do something nice for Rihanna this year since she didn’t have much of a 21st birthday last year,” according to an insider.

It won’t be a huge bash, but rather an intimate occasion with her “closest friends, good Jamaican food, a photo booth, dancing and a nice cake.”

The party is expected to take place at a private residence in Phoenix since Kemp is there for spring training.

We love this town!!!

Perezzers has been had the bestest time in Sin City on Friday!

First, we attended the opening of Cirque du Soleil’s new ELVIS show, which we really enjoyed. We’d give it a solid B+! The only critique we have is we wish it had a few more traditional “Cirque” moments in it.

After the Presley extravaganza, we headed up to Lavo at the Palazzo for our “Celebrity Tweetup” party, which was a big big success.

What’s in store for tonight????

Anything is possible – and that’s why we love Vegas!!!
