The United Nations Foundation is starting a new campaign called Girl Up.

The initiative is suppose to inspire young girls of the world to dream big and become a powerful force of change for the world. Taking on the role of poster girl for the program is successful businesswoman and tweeter, Ivanka Trump.

Solid choice. Let’s see what she does with it!

Kirsten Dunst is back in the spotlight with a new movie and an amazing photo spread for this month’s V Magazine!

Kirsten is co-starring with Ryan Gosling in the upcoming film “All Good Things” – due out this month. The movie’s release date had been pushed back a few times, which led to an online petition begging for it’s release.

Inspired by the true events surrounding the life of real-estate mogul Robert Durst (played by Ryan Gosling), the film casts Dunst in the role of beleaguered wifeabused and ultimately murdered.

Kirsten and the director, Andrew Jarecki, both feel it’s her best work thus far.

I know Ill be seen in a very different light, Dunst says. This role is the most I can show of myself and I think its the best work Ive ever done, for sure.

The director says that he knew she was the one he wanted in the role:

In Hollywood, he explains, the common wisdom is that you cast your male lead before your female because it is almost always the male who is the bankable star and gets the movie financed. But I was so confident in Kirsten that we cast her first, and her performance speaks for itself,People will see what Kirsten can do when shes not held back, and its impressive. While I always thought she had it in her, nearly everyone who sees the film responds the same way: Wow, I had no idea she could do that. She was fearless.

Kirsten shares that working with Ryan brought out her competitive side:

I remember Ryan and I being very competitive with each other, she says. I dont know if he felt it toward me, but I definitely felt it toward him. But its great, I think competition brings out the best in people.

She shares what the future holds:

Im ambitious, she says. I want to do great work and work with great directors and do great movies and produce great films. I have criteria for myself that are probably too hard to ever meet, but Im going to try. I think people who say theyre not ambitious and have gotten to a place of success are lying

It’s hard to believe that the last feature-length movie that Kirsten was in was in 2008’s ‘How To Lose Friends and Alienate People’.

Naomi Campbell has given a statement to Access Hollywood regarding the alleged assault she was involved in.

Earlier today the NYC driver who accused her of attacking him, apologized and said of the situation that he had:

blown out of proportion

He said he was sorry to Naomi

for causing that to happen.

Naomi released a statement saying that her past is being held against her unfairly:

On Tuesday, March 2nd, I was accused of unacceptable behavior towards a driver in New York, she said in a statement to Access Hollywood. I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past. I try to treat everyone with respect and I am pleased the driver has apologized. I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on.

What do you think about the situation? It seems weird that he’d go to the police with “wounds” and then later say he just blew things out of proportion? Maybe he’s a bit of a drama queen? lol I’m sure she’ll be glad to put this incident behind her.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were snapped in Miami this afternoon. They were out scouting locations for a new bar that Scott is planning to open. The two also shared a whole lot of PDA for the paps.

I wonder if he’s planning this bar for something to do to keep him busy while Kourtney and Khloe are busy filming the second season of their show “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami”? Or does he have a background in managing clubs/bars?

[HMG] – In an earlier story we mentioned Britney Spears and her strange love life, and here is an example of just what that means; Her boyfriend, Jason Trawick was at Paris Hilton’s party this weekend, and is clearly no fan of Brit’s songs or just the sound of her?

When Jason attended one of Paris’ endless celebrations for her 29th birthday, Britney was nowhere in sight. But as soon as the DJ played a Britney song Jason got clearly upset.

He arrived with a male friend and was definitely enjoying himself until the DJ threw on Toxic, an insider told Fox. The first thing out of his mouth was Oh my god, I hate this song!

Friends tried to calm him, but with little effect; They all laughed and continued to talk. But Jason said, I cant hear what youre saying over her voice!…And he wasnt laughing.

The music soon ended, and Jason clearly recovered enough of his hearing to enjoy the rest of the night, as he was among the last to leave at about 3am. Since then there’s been no word from Brit…yet.

Jason and Britney have been dating since Spring of last year. In one of the thousands of press stories this connection ‘accidentally’ created, Britney was reportedly eager for Jason to make it official with a ring. But insiders say it’s really her dad, Jamie who wants the engagement. He thinks Jason’s a good influence on his troubled daughter.

And you can bet the huge boost such an event would be to Brit’s fading career has not even remotely escaped Jamie’s attention.

So do you guys think Jason should get down on one knee, or is this just one more ploy?…

No surprise here: Sarah Palin is penning another book.

Since her first venture, Going Rogue, was so successful, HarperCollins Publishing is giving Paling the green-light to forge ahead with a new literary gem. This time, the as-yet untitled book won’t be a memoir, but as the publishers describes it, a celebration of American virtues and strengths.” Basically, it will be a collection of excepts from other writers or things written by Palin about people who have inspired her.

Expect Jesus, Jay Leno and John McCain to make several contributions.
