(HMG) – I am kind of surprised to hear that Kate Gosselin is allegedly being a “total diva” on the set of “Dancing With the Stars.” The popular reality mom is taking some new steps in her post-divorce life, as a contestants on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.” But according to the NY Post gossip column Page Six, while there’s a lot of camaraderie among the crew and other stars including Pamela Anderson, “Kate has set herself apart . . . She wants to be queen bee.” Kate supposedly doesn’t want anything to do with other contestants and is even behaving frostily to crew members. Her icy behavior supposedly also persuaded Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir to pull out of talks about being on the show because he didn’t want to work alongside Gosselin.

My first thought on this is how is this possible since arrangements have been made so that she can prepare her routines in Pennsylvania, near where she lives, instead of in the show’s rehearsal studios on the West Coast? She did this so she wouldn’t be away from her 8 kids more than she had too. Not that I don’t think Kate can be rather grouchy at times but has she become a diva, or just the outcast because she is not bonding with her fellow cast members who are rehearsing in LA?

Kate Winslet and her husband of 7 years, the director Sam Mendes are separating. Don’t expect them to be slinging mud at one another, as they’ll remain good friends. Darn..

Earlier in the week, after The United Center show, Bacardi hosted the Bacardi VIP Room for The Black Eyed Peas After Party at Enclave Nightclub in Chicago.

Josh Duhamel and Slash joined The Black Eyed Peas (after Slash surprised concertgoers with a performance of Sweet Child of Mine with Fergie at The United Center). So nice to see Fergie and Josh out in public together. He’s a handsome devil, isn’t he?

Simon Cowell reportedly wants Cheryl Cole to be a judge on the US version of The X Factor saying:

“I’d love to have Cheryl on the show. We have great chemistry. Cheryl’s a natural star. People can’t help but warm to her.”

And apparently she’s accepting the offer! An insider reveals:

“Simon thinks America will fall in love with Cheryl, just like Britain has. She has a unique talent for winning everybody over. She gets involved emotionally with her acts, whereas the other judges don’t. She is incredibly passionate, genuine and caring and he knows he needs a judge like that on the line-up.

“Simon also loves that Cheryl isn’t afraid to stand up to him on the show. He knows their banter will be a massive hit with American audiences. Not only does he want her on American X Factor but he wants her to be sat on the much sought-after seat directly next to him. Cheryl has told Ashley. Now they are working out what to do.”
