Im happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldnt be happier, her rep tells PEOPLE. No wedding date has been set at this time.

The Ottawa Senators player spoke about the happy event on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun.

Its true, he is quoted as saying. Were both obviously excited and very happy.

Fisher, 29, reportedly proposed at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day.

Former wrestler Hulk Hogan is heading back to the sport – he has signed a contract with Total Nonstop Action (TNA).

The former WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) champion has swapped sides by heading to rival wrestling firm TNA and will make his TV debut for the company on Thursday night (29Oct09). Hogan, who hasn’t wrestled professionally since 2006, admits he is delighted to be returning to the sport and has thanked his fans for sticking by him.

He says in a statement, “I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the world of professional wrestling. My fans have been asking me to return to the business for many years on a full time basis, but the timing or the opportunity has never been right until now. TNA Wrestling is a great company with an already excellent fan base, business and broadcast partner. I firmly believe now is the time for some change at TNA as they are positioned to jump to the next level in their development and I’m here to help make that a reality.”

Given all the running away from Snatchers and Death Eaters and Voldemort and giant snakes, there isn’t a lot of time for romance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. But hey, sex sells, right? That’s probably why an Italian magazine allegedly fabricated a story about Daniel Radcliffe having a “very sensual” scene in the movie, and possibly even a naked one.

Unsurprisingly, Radcliffe’s representatives has quashed this one quickly. Just because we saw Radcliffe naked onstage in Equus doesn’t mean Harry Potter audiences are quite ready for that. Digital Spy reports that Radcliffe’s rep called the story, which included a supposed quote from director David Yates, a “complete fabrication.”

The scene they’re referring to is obvious for fans of the book– when Ron attempts to kill the Horcrux in the forest, a ghost comes out of it that takes the shape of Harry and Hermione kissing, preying on Ron’s worst fears about his best friend and the girl he loves. The scene will probably be part of the movie, and be bizarre to see– who can handle seeing Harry and Hermione together??– but, blessedly, it won’t involve nudity

Lil Wayne is heading to jail for this fine year of 2009. People are always talking about rap, and wanting to make a good name for the brand, but then things like this happen.

According to E Online, the rapper plead guilty to an attempted weapons possession, and will now spend one-year in prison.

This, after he got into a gun scandal with police around 2 years ago. At the time, he was at a concert in Beacon Theater New York City, when police found a loaded .40-caliber pistol.

It sounds like Lil Wayne, who will be in jail between 2009 – 2010, got a pretty good deal. He could’ve been in jail for 3.5 years, and a maximum of 15. He got lucky. “He could have gotten a much longer sentence if convicted on the original, more serious gun charges.” Way to dodge a longer sentence, Lil.

More information about this 2009 case can be found around the web. I’m not surprised by Lil Wayne having a gun, or anybody else. But again, when a rapper does something bad, it just makes things look that much worse for the brand / genre.

It’s too bad too, because I really believe rap is beginning to get itself more and more out of the clear, but when people read about this, it digs a whole that was originally only 3 feet deep, 6 feet deeper.

Hopefully, Lil Wayne will learn something during his 2009 – 2010 jail sentence, or maybe not.It seems that I have made a mistake; It seems like Lil Wayne will have another hearing on December 15th, 2009, before his final sentencing in February of 2010. Until then, we’ll be hearing a lot more about this case.

I wonder if Perez Hilton covered this story? What could he have drawn on Lil Wayne’s face? Probably the usual garbage.
